Trend Recycled | RÆBURN & Koshino

Christopher RÆBURN & Michiko Koshino | LFWM AW18

2018 kicks off with London Fashion Week Men’s in January, this would be the first time I have attended any big fashion designer shows so as you can imagine I was pretty excited to see what the fashion designers would come up with this season.

After the ‘Installation & Performance’ post I wrote about the RCA MA Graduate show last year, I became more excited about fashion design again.

I was invited to attend to see fashion Christopher Raeburn and Michiko Koshino latest autumn-winter 2018 collections last weekend. I previously met Christopher in 2017 at his studio Raeburn Remade.

Even though Raeburn and Koshino are two different designers, I could see similar concepts and trends in both of their AW18 collections. The trends that stood out the most was logo taping, sportswear and bold graphics.

The two collections on page 2, have a health and safety industrial feel. Colours of orange-yellow and bold stood out for me the most in both collections. Concepts and trends throughout was a welcome change by introducing more of pops of colour for autumn winter.
