Renting a holiday home. Put your feet up, you’re home…
Before I travelled to New York, I spent five nights in the Ossington District of Toronto. This trip was long overdue, as I haven’t been to visit my family in Toronto for many, many years.
I think it would feel strange now not to rent out a person’s home when travelling. Who wouldn’t want home comforts whilst on holiday or on a business trip? Even though I enjoy living in luxury on holiday and the idea of being a beautiful boutique hotel is my ideal; it can be a more expensive option to choose.
Didn’t do much research of the area initially. This was a lucky find. After successfully booked several apartments via Air BnB, my search brought me to this lovely apartment which had all the comforts of home, including laundry facilities and a garden in the art and design district of Ossington.Plenty of bars, cafes here and local supermarkets nearby to restock the fridge. The host lived with her partner and dog in the apartment above and was helpful and available if we had any questions.Like any search for a rental holiday room or apartment, do plenty of research and checks or use company’s like Air BnB to take out the guess work.
Q: Have you rented a home instead of a hotel? What was your experience like?
