The Social Supper

Raising Awareness | Evening Charity Event | Key 4 Life

I was fortunate to attend the charity event for Key 4 Life last week at The Calvert 22 Foundation exhibition space in Shoreditch. Key 4 Life is a rehabilitation programme to help support young men and women who might be at risk of reoffending to help them get back on their feet and into society.

Alex Head the founder of Social Pantry has been supporting young people and raising awareness by providing work experience and mentoring young adults by giving them opportunities to work with professional chefs.Tableware: Hired – Classic Crockery

@AnnaBarnettCooks Shredded Ham Hock with Pea and PiccalilliThe five course social supper was held at the Calvert 22 Foundation exhibition space in Shoreditch. We arrived early and we were offered a complimentary drink and greeted with a bar, a DJ and a long row of tables elegantly laid out tableware and chairs. White flowers, green leaves and vines were effortless laid out as not to overcrowd the table. This worked especially well and complemented the bronze – copper cutlery and white plates displayed.

The best part for me apart from the food, of course, was listening to the individuals talk about their background history and experiences about reoffending and fitting into society. Each of these individuals has since made big changes and improvements to their lives through the Key 4 Life’s programme.

Congratulations and thank you to The Social Pantry, Key 4 Life for this event.

Thank you to Alex & Ray; Adam & Ruben; Anna & Shevane; Lee & Mehari; Richard, Robin & Julian for making my social supper. Good luck with your plans for the future.
