PANTONE 2018 | #showyourpantones2018
Every person sees colour differently, so trying to photograph, edit, publish and interpret colour, can be challenging.
But putting that aside, choosing out of the many purple polishes I have in my polish collection to just four would be an even greater challenge. I think I didn’t do too badly. These are the closest shades of UltraViolet I could find or interpret.
Greenery last year’s Pantone gave me plenty of inspiration to write about the colour and how to incorporate into my every day. From fashion, textiles, art and design. Pantone is leading the way when it comes to colour trends.
There are many designers from fashion, art, interior design and makeup artist have already put their spin on each Pantone colour.
It came to no surprise that YouTube has recently created a #showyourpantones2018 which ties in with the new Pantone colour of 2018 Ultra Violet. So, I thought it would be fitting to gather a few of my nail polish shades of UltraViolet to celebrate the new 2018 colour.
Green is my favourite colour and purple is one of my favourite shades to wear, especially in nail polish. Ultra violet is a blue-based deep purple and as you can see from the photos can also look cool or warm toned, depending on its neighbour colour.
The polishes chosen are colours that I wear often and around this time of the year. I love wearing a deep violet purple around this year. Very vampy, very edgy.
Out of the four colours, my favourite is Essie Chills & Thrills because it’s not too dark and pulls blue and purple depending on the light conditions you are in.
