Industrial Contemporary

Home Decoration & Trend Mood Board.

When it comes to design and lifestyle trends, I’m partial to the modern industrial style. As you have seen over the past weeks as well as great products and looks have been created by many designers, I have also been inspired by the buildings that these business and events reside in also.

Developing ideas and mood boards for my narrow kitchen on how I was going to decorate and style the room, it was clear from my Pinterest boards I was in love with the Industrial urban yet modern contemporary look from the very beginning.

From restaurants, event venues to cafes, there are plenty of places and businesses who have also embraced this trend with open arms. This trend to me implies that it is a phase, only temporary, but I can’t see this style going away anytime soon.

Tate Modern – London.

The spectacular glass skylight roof at the design junction festival I attended recently was held at the Granary Square buildings – Kings Cross.

The two books I have been lusting over recently are Warehouse Home Industrial Inspiration | Urban Pioneer: Interiors inspired by industrial design.

I have created a mini mood board and look book for you to shop and browse over. I took inspiration from the many buildings I visited. Materials such as concrete glass and metal for the main structure of tables, stools and lighting. I also love texture and colour which I’m glad to see being introduced into industrial contemporary design today.
