Festive Origami | A Crafty Christmas Season
The holidays are fast approaching and we are once again figuring out how to have fun over the holidays whilst saving at the same time.
If you have been reading my blog posts, you would have seen a few workshops I have attended. So, I thought this year instead of buying my Christmas decorations, this would be a good time to revisit and dust off those origami techniques I learnt from the ‘Paper Scissors & Origami’ workshop and save some money on Christmas decorations.
Christmas decorations tend to be one of the first things that become expensive when decorating your home around the festive season. Apart from gifts and food, the cost of spending on baubles and tinsel has increased enormously. If we can save around this time of year we won’t need to struggle in January when our credit card bill lands on our doorsteps.
The frugal ones have got it planned and have thought about different ways to save. For some of us, we depend on retail stores to make it easy to have everything packaged and ready for Christmas.
Why not make your own decorations this year?
Whatever festive or occasion you want to decorate and celebrate with, these diamond and star origami ornaments are inexpensive and also customisable. You might be thinking, wait a minute, who has time, patience to make their decorations? Once you made the first few it will get easier the more you make.
